Matt Stairs takes Phillies closer to World Series after decisive Home-Run

Philadelphia Phillies' Matt Stairs shone Monday Night in a game against Los Angeles Dodgers, hitting a two-run home run that broke a tie in the eight inning, granting his team the victory 7-5.

The Phillies totaled four runs at the eight inning at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. With this move, 40-year old Stairs marked his first career homer in the post-season.

To advance to the World Series, the Phillies have to gain victory over the Dodgers in the Major League Baseball playoff series' Game 5 on Oct. 15.
