Samsung announced on Tuesday it is launching its "epix" Smartphone in the United States exclusively for AT&T costumers.
The Korean company is implementing an optical mouse technology on the new device. The mouse is located in the center of the phone between the Start and OK Button's. It is planned to help users navigate easily. It also gives the users the option to turn the application off if they decide to use the touch screen.
The new Smartphone is powered by AT&T's 3G network and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Edition operating system. It offers a variety of e-mail solutions including Microsoft Direct Push, AT&T Xpress Mail, and Good Mobile Messaging. It also facilitates Video Calls.
Design wise the device has a full QWERTY keyboard, a silver finish all implemented in a slim design. It is also equipped with a 2-megapixel camera. The phone is on sale for $199.99 alone, or $99 with an AT&T subscription.
