

Following Jennifer Hudson's family tragedy which has claimed 3 of her family members, American Idol judges who have come to love her dearly, sent messages of condolences and support to the former contestant.
"This is a horrific tragedy, and my thoughts and prayers go out to Jennifer and her entire family," said American Idol judge Paula Abdul on Monday, according to E Online.
"The time I had to get to know Jennifer and forge a wonderful friendship with her while she was on Idol was very special to me, and I personally can't imagine a greater loss for any family."
Speaking to Extra from London, Simon Cowell said, "I was horrified when I heard the news. This is an appalling tragedy. My thoughts right now are with Jennifer, and her family."
Hudson, whose mother, Darnell Donerson, and older brother, Jason Hudson, were found shot to death Friday in Donerson's Chicago home, received even more bad news on Monday after learning that her 7-year-old nephew, who was reported missing Friday, had also been killed.
Hudson appeared on the American Idol's in 2004. In spite of not winning the reality singing competition, she went on get the prized role of, "Effie White," for the film adaptation of the musical Dreamgirls in 2005.
Hudson, then 25, even won an Oscar for her role, becoming one of the youngest people to ever win an Oscar, especially for a debut performance.
