In the spirit of elections and patriotism, Ben & Jerry's are offering a free scoop of ice cream at all their stores across the country, between 5 and 8 pm local time.

Starbucks is offering complimentary size tall cup of brewed coffee to anyone who requests it on Tuesday.

Ben and Jerry's is offering the promotion in hopes to get more people to go out and vote on election day, Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

"Democracy has never tasted so sweet" is the slogan for this year's free Ben and Jerry's for voting campaign.
