Matthew Byron, a spokesman for the satellite communications company, said Globecomm cannot disclose who awarded the contract under the terms of the deal, except to say it was from a multi-national organization.

Globecomm said it does not expect to earn much from the deal in the current fiscal year, which ends in June.

The company's annual revenue for 2008 totaled $196.5 million.

In afternoon trading, Globecomm's shares fell 26 cents, or 3.4 percent, to $7.53.
