Akamai Technologies rose $.41 or 2.8 percent, to $15.09.

Amazon fell $3.82 or 6.5 percent, to $54.63.

eBay fell $.31 or 2.0 percent, to $15.44.

Google fell $14.40 or 3.9 percent, to $352.54.

Yahoo rose $.97 or 7.3 percent, to $14.32.
