Thriller-Live producers look for a boy to play Michael Jackson

Open auditions on Nov. 23 at the Lyric Theater are meant to find a "young black, African-American or dual heritage boy aged 11 to 15 with an excellent unbroken pop/rock voice with a high range, who is exciting, confident and energetic" for the role of Michael Jackson in Thriller show.

The participants at the musical audition will be asked to sing "Ben, I Want You Back," or "I'll Be There."

Thriller - Live show opens Jan. 2 at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.

The chosen boy between 11 and 15 will be the lead in the musical Thriller - Live at its opening in January, London.

The show is given in the honor of pop star Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5.

The legendary pop singer will be playing in the musical.

Sony will be backing the show, a spokesman for the musical said.
