The Littleton, Colo.-based company also lobbied on forbearance grants by the Federal Communications Commission. When the FCC grants forbearance, it exempts a company from certain regulatory oversight--such as price caps--if there's deemed to be enough competition and it won't harm consumers.
TW Telecom lobbied on legislation to make the FCC either grant or deny forbearance. Current rules say no action by the FCC within a certain timeframe automatically grants forbearance.
The company also lobbied on intercarrier compensation issues, universal service reform and pole attachment regulation. TW Telecom lobbied Congress and the FCC, according to the report filed Oct. 20 with the House clerk's office.
