Dollar rises against the yen in night trading

NEW YORK - The dollar inched up against the Japanese yen late Monday night. The greenback gained to 93.59 yen from the 93.40 yen it bought in late afternoon trading.

On Friday, the dollar was worth 95.65 yen.
