Adam disappeared in 1981 at a Sears store in Hollywood. Two weeks later his head was found but his body went missing. After the tragic murder Walsh devoted his work to fight against crime and advocate for missing children.
Florida Police are expected to give the announcement by 2:30 p.m. today on a press conference and speculation surrounding the murderer points to Ottis Toole, a man who died in prison in 1996. He will be named as the boy's killer, a law enforcement source told CNN.
Toole was a convicted serial killer who confessed to multiple murders, rapes and cannibalism. He went to prison convicted of three counts of murder and while in prison he confessed four more murder charges before dying.
