The committee is looking for evidence of foul play in the governor's office and could pave the way toward removing the governor through an impeachment process.
Among other charges of trading political favors for money, Blagojevich has been accused of attempting to sell President-elect Obama's former Senate seat in return for monetary compensation or favors.
"We would be more than happy to hear from ordinary folks, whistleblowers, whatever, who think they have something to offer," said Rep. Barbara Currie, a Democrat from Chicago, according to Reuters.
The next two hearings for the impeachment hearings are scheduled for December 16 and 17.
