Starting at 3am PST on Wednesday, the search giant will display the current location of Santa on a special website using Google Maps, the company's online earth mapping software. The firm is working together with the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD.

Mountain View, Calif.-based Google will also translate coordinates for use in its 3D Earth software as well.

Google will be displaying high-resolution "Santa Cam" video of the gift-laden airborne sleigh.

The tracking marks the fourth year going that Google has teamed with NORAD to track Santa. For the first time however, users can track St. Nicolas on mobile phones with Google Maps for Mobile and follow him on Twitter by adding "@noradsanta."
