The first photo of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's baby Bronx hit the web on Christmas Day for free.
The couple shared a black and white picture online as a 'Happy Holidays' gift for their friends, which was also viewable online to the public.
The baby and both his parents appear in the photo. The photo release is in contrast to publicity generated from photo sales to celebrity magazines for millions of dollars. The rights for the first photo set of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins reportedly sold for $14 million.
"We decided to share the best gift we could ever receive with you: Bronx Mowgli Wentz. We couldn't be happier," the couple said in a message on the website friendsorenemies.com
Bronx was born on November 20 weighing 7 pounds and 11 ounces and measuring 20 1/2 inches.
