Nation's oldest man dies at 112

America's oldest man, George Francis, died at age 112 on Saturday.

Anthony Francis, his son Sunday said, Francis died Saturday of congestive heart failure at a nursing home in Sacramento, according to the Associated Press.

"He lived four years in the 19th century, 100 years in the 20th century, and 8 years in the 21st century. We call him the man of three centuries," said the younger Francis, 81.

Francis born June 6, 1896 lived to the age of 112 years and 204 days.
