The battle between the Israeli state and Hamas is also raging online.
Israel's army, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on Monday set up a channel on video sharing site YouTube. An account was opened by the army's Spokesperson's Unit, which focuses on media and public relations.
Some of the videos, which show spy camera views of targets or footage of the movement of war equipment and other resources, don't allow for comments.
The top viewed video on the channel has more nearly 100,000 views as of Wednesday. It is said to show the Israeli Air Force striking a government complex used by Hamas on December 30 "which has targeted innocent civilians in a campaign of terror."
A second video apparently showing an air force striking men people who appear to be loading rockets into the back of a truck on December 28. A third most-watched video shows the Air Force striking what it says are smuggling tunnels on Dec. 30.
