Ravens' Mcgahee ready to rise up again after head collision

He later joined his teammates Monday.

Kevin Byrne, the Ravens' senior vice president of public and community relations, said McGahee returned to Baltimore where he was resting at home.

"He is resting at his home today," Byrne said "It is expected that Willis will have a complete recovery from the head and neck injuries he suffered last night," he added

The play occurred in the fourth quarter of Pittsburgh's 23-14 victory. McGahee had just caught a pass and taken two steps before being met by safety Ryan Clark, who drove his helmet into McGahee's facemask.

Ryan Clark collided in a hard hit that sent both players to the ground.

McGahee was carted off the field after he and Clark collided head to head with 3:29 remaining in the fourth quarter just after McGahee caught a short pass over the middle.

McGahee finished the game with 60 yards on 20 carries and a pair of touchdowns before leaving but the Ravens fell to the Steelers 23-14 in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.
