Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia confirmed gas was flowing again, two weeks after it was halted over a bitter dispute between Moscow and Kiev over price, unpaid debts and siphoned off supplies.

Poland and Romania said that they had no immediate supplies.

Russian state-controlled gas firm Gazprom and Ukrainian gas supplier Naftogaz put pen to paper on a 10-year agreement to provide Russian gas for the Ukrainian market and said all disagreements on transit to the EU had been resolved.

Ukraine will pay Gazprom $360 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas; nearly double its previous price of $179.50. The standard European price is $450 per 1,000 cubic meters.
