Venus ousted by 46 placer Carla Suarez

Venus Williams looked flat and was ousted in the second round of the grand slam tournament by up-and-coming Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.

"Yeah, I wasn't in control of the points. I definitely noticed that she kept getting the first shot. I was definitely playing defensive. I'm definitely used to dictating the points a little more. It was kind of a pattern that wasn't the best for me." with a smile giving off the faintest of sighs Venus said.

The 20-year-old Suarez Navarro, appearing and making her first appearance in the Melbourne Grand Slam event is the world number 46 and possesses a world-class one-handed backhand, While ranked 46th in the world, she is not an easy out players.
