Each Gaza 'martyr' receives 1,000 Euros

On Thursday the Islamist Hamas movement announced that they would pay 1,000 Euros each to the families of the dead and 4 000 Euros for each home destroyed in Israel's offensive.

Families with damaged houses can expect 2,000 Euros and each injured person can expect 500 Euros according to spokesman Taher Al-Nunu who was interviewed by AFP.

A total of 1,330 people have been killed and 5,450 have been wounded in the three week war.
