George Eisenhart, 41, died after he stepped in front of one of the trucks and was crushed. Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney said.

"Saturday's incident, which is an uncommon occurrence…was a freak accident," Mahoney said Sunday.

A statement from the Monster Truck Association said the accident was investigated and it appears Eisenhart stepped in the truck's path and the driver did not have "adequate time to react."

Both Eisenhart didn't see the truck coming and the driver of monster truck named "Samson" owned by Daniel Patrick didn't see Eisenhart, A preliminary report from the coroner said.

Eisenhart's death comes 8 days after a 6-year-old; Sebastian Hizey was killed by flying debris at another monster Jam show.
