The PC maker is offering a makeover of its previous HP dv7t which was released just last month, by rolling out the new dv6t that includes slightly more specs than the previous model.

The HP dv6t (1030us) incorporates a choice of either 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 or 1GB HD 4650 graphics.

The rest of the specs on the HP dv6t laptop are similar to the HP dv7t which includes a range of Core 2 Dou processors, a maximum of 500GB hard drive, up to 8GB of RAM amd a 1366 x 768 resolution 16 inch display.

A recent Gartner report showed HP's market share is ahead of Acer 2 percent, making it the worldwide leader in laptop sales for the fourth quarter of 2008. A bulk of the company's laptop sales is caused by its retail partners that sell HP branded laptops by the dozen.
