- Top Down Approach –Pick bottoming sector (Gold vs Oil) first then the stock. Use 50 and 200 day moving average to gauge sector sentiment.

- Make up buying and selling decisions the night before execution, set quantity and price limits.

- Review your monthly trades to be attuned to the market. You are on the right track if you buy consistently within 20% from bottom and sell within 20% from top.

- When good news failed to push stock higher, it’s time to sell. When the worst news failed to punish the stock lower, it’s not the time to sell.

- Having sold at the top, don’t be eager to buy on the way down until it’s oversold...
