Four student unions said Tuesday they were planning to stage protests outside the British embassy in protest at London's alleged interference in Iranian affairs.

The demonstration scheduled to take place today has been postponed after the Iranian Interior Ministry failed to authorize it, the Fars news agency said.
A representative of a group of students loyal to the current regime responded to the move saying the students will consider protesting "the interference of Britain's evil government" in another day.
The Fars new agency quoted student leader Esmail Tahmouressi as warning of another "November 4", the date when radical students seized the US embassy in Tehran after the 1979 revolution.
Iran has accused Britain as one of the leading instigators of foreign "meddling" in the unrest.
British Foreign Secretary David Miliband rejected charges that protesters were being "manipulated" by foreign nations.
Britain said it was pulling out relatives of embassy staff in Tehran, while the BBC correspondent has been expelled.
The European Union yesterday rejected Iran's claims of interference as "baseless and unacceptable".
