The goal was a free kick from Brazil substitute Daniel Alves that pushed Brazil into the final round of the Confederation Cup.

In Sunday's final at Ellis Park in South Africa, the Brazilians will face the United States, which upset European champion Spain 2-0 Wednesday.

Brazil, unbeaten in 15 matches, had scored 10 goals in its first three matches, and it looked like its attack was peaking in South Africa.

Meanwhile Bafana Bafana, South Africa's national team will meet Spain in the playoff for third place at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday at 3pm GMT.
