Cap and trade bill passes in U.S. after historic vote

To achieve it the climate bill also includes a cap and trade system that if enacted, will establish for the first time national limits on emissions of greenhouse gases from power plants, refineries and factories.

Companies will be given permits to pollute also called allowances and when they exceeds their limits they can buy additional permits from others or would be forced to find ways to reduce pollution.

President Barack Obama said today the climate legislation was "enormous progress " from where the U.S. has been on the issue previously during a press conference at the White House with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Few Americans know what dread this brings. More jobs shipped overseas where there is no Crap and Tax law. Global warming is political, not real. Unfortunately, the younger generation are all believers in global warming because the liberal school teachers have taught it to children for years. Only after this disaster matures and people see just how much it costs will they come to their senses. By then, it will be too late. We must find a way to stop this idiocratic insannity in the Senate. It is economic suicide.

The thing is, he completely knows what he is doing...it's part of his master plan to control our population...and God forbid he gets re-elected in 2012, guess what everyone...he won't leave in 8 years. Really? This passed. The White House switched board was flooded with call from caring citizens urging their representatives to vote no. When are the representatives going to start doing their jobs and REPRESENT the people. I think we have moved from a house of representatives to a house of aristocates (just like John Adams had feared). We need to get these power hungry men and women out of there!!!! Term limits are the only way. Spite of all this garbage being forced down our throats I still beleive that this is a god-fearing nation and that the American spirit sets us apart. Don't we emit CO2 into the air with every breath we take??? When will they tax that?? For those that say I am just over exaggerating...do a search on the taxation of livestock flatulence. And didn't they enforce the emmisions testing on peoples vehicles to cut down on CO2 emissions?? If so....why did they get rid of it?? Maybe because it did not do what they said it would while costing us all alot of cash. I agree with enviormental clean up but from what I have seen in my 42 years of living.....we have been working on that without the enforcement of government. Time for Hope and Change eh? Well I think I have about 41 cents in CHANGE.....I sure HOPE I get to decide how to spend it!

Al Gore and the rest of the hypocrites are laughing all the way to the bank. Before this bogus global warming scare, Gore was worth about $2M. Now it's about $200M!!! Scientists have proven that "facts" presented in that sham of a documentary The Inconvenient Truth were hands-down wrong - yet it's being taught in our schools and our kids are being brainwashed with this crap. Global warming is CYCLICAL; and anthropogenic warming accounts for only a small percentage. Yet the proponents of this SCAM refuse to acknowledge, investigate and give any credence to the opposing side. Notice that this bill wasn't a landslide win. I wonder how many coward Democrats who were against it voted for it simply to support their fellow eggheads. WAKE UP, AMERICA!!!!!

January 2008 - Obama on his campaign trail states that under his Cap and Trade Plan, utility bills will skyrocket... The CBO has shown how nefarious this plan truly is. Oddly enough...the press refuses to pursue the truth. I encourge everyone to read about FDR and the New Deal. I have felt from the beginning that Obama has a desire to become the next FDR - he said as much in the begining when he talked about programs to get people employed - fixing roads and infrastructure. If this bill passes in the Senate, people will be rioting in the streets once its true effects are felt. This jackass has managed to unravel 200 years of liberty and freedom in 6 months - and saddest of all - apathy reigns amongst the masses. We must take back our country - make your voice heard - write your congressional representatives and senators incessantly till we can vote these bastards out of office.

One of Obama's accomplices, General Electric (GE), for example, has made everything possible -- mainly through its NBC networks, including MSNBC and CNBC -- to get Obama elected and to make us swallow the global warming scam. Why? Because they stand to make BILLIONS at our expense. Not only is GE the largest wind turbine generator maker, but it may benefit as the sole “secondary market” trader of the cap and trade credits.

The government does not give the American public credit for having any sense. I think it is time we showed them that we are smarter than they are.
