SMS hole may allow remote access to iPhone

02 July 2009 @ 11:00 pm ET

Apple is working to fix the iPhones SMS messages vulnerabilities that may turns the device into a remote controllable device.

The vulnerability allows an attacker to remotely send malicious commands to monitor the phone's location, turn on its microphone, or cause it to join a distributed denial of service which has been revealed in an ongoing event SyScan conference in Singapore.

Apple is expecting to fix the bugs later this month.

I'm not worried about this supposed security issue. Just because there's a possibility, it does not necessarily follow that this will happen.
