Spain June Unemployment Fall Biggest Since 2001

RTTNews - Thursday, a report by Spain Labor Ministry said the number of unemployed persons declined by 55,250 or 1.5% in June to 3.5 million compared to May. The report said this decline in unemployment was the largest in a month since June 2001. A year earlier, the number of unemployed persons increased by 36,849 on a monthly basis.
During the month, there were 1.783 million unemployed males, representing a decline of 2.1% from May. At the same time, the number of unemployed females declined by 0.9% to 1.781 million.
Meanwhile, registered unemployment declined 1.5% in services, 2.3% in construction and 2.1% in industry.
