The Michael Jackson memorial in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday is expected to draw a huge crowd, but the LAPD has warned that fans that don't have tickets, shouldn't come out to the memorial.

A public memorial for Michael Jackson is expected to be held on Tuesday in Staples Center, a concert promoter said on Thursday, as the singer's former wife said she planned to fight for custody of their children. Jackson, 50, died a week ago of cardiac arrest.

Free tickets to the mega memorial at the Staples Center were awarded to 17,500 fans Sunday. Some 1.6 million people entered the lottery to win a seat.

However, a Jackson family spokesman told the LA Times that they would not release any information about the memorial service itself.

Tim Leiweke, president and CEO of AEG Live, hopes no one will resell their tickets.

"We're hoping people have dignity," Leiweke said." "Those who would take advantage of this, shame on them."

Winners were notified via email on Sunday and will be able to pick up tickets Monday.
