Teacher stabbed to death at John Tyler High School

A teacher from John Tyler High School was stabbed to death on Wednesday, according to Tyler's police.

Todd R. Henry, 50, was identified by his brother as a music therapist at John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas.

The stabbing occurred at about 9 a.m., Tyler police spokesman Don Martin said Wednesday.

He also said a juvenile was detained shortly after the attack. Further details will be released later.

John Tyler High School serves grades 9-12 in the Tyler Independent School District.

Based on its state test results, it has received a Great Schools Rating of 3 out of 10.
