If anything the models are showing an even heavier band of rain over Northwest Arkansas into southeastern Missouri and into central Illinois that reaches over 5 inches!! Again what is holding up the front is the development of Low pressure on the cold front. Once that Low tracks up into the eastern Great Lakes... the front gets a chance to drive south and east into the Deep South. This means more significant rains for the Delta and the deep South into NC and VA October 11 -- 12... but because the front is moving... the rainfall amounts are significantly less. The data still shows 70% coverage over the Delta and the Deep South but amounts are much more reasonable...0.25 to 2.00"
The weather Models show several more systems in the 11-15 day over the Plains and and Midwest. .
