Houston attorney John O'Quinn, who was acknowledged as one of the most prominent and successful trial lawyers in the nation, was killed this morning in a car accident on Allen Parkway.

O'Quinn was riding in a black Suburban at high speed when it smashed into a tree. He and another unidentified person were killed instantly, according to the Houston Chronicle on Thursday.
