API Technologies Corp., a leading provider of innovative design, engineering and manufacturing solutions for electronic components and subsystems to the global defense and aerospace industry, recently announced that the company has secured two new orders totaling over $1.4 million for its industry-leading communications components and sensors.

Received by API’s National Hybrid (“NHI”) division in Long Island, New York, these new orders, from two large international companies, are for NHI’s leading 1553 DataBus and custom hybrid circuits. NHI is a leading provider of communications products and custom hybrids to the defense, aerospace and technology industries. API’s current customers include the U.S. Department of Defense, various U.S. government intelligence agencies, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as numerous government and prime contractors in Canada, the United Kingdom, NATO and the European Union.

“We are very pleased with these two substantial orders,” stated Stephen B. Pudles, chief executive officer of API Technologies Corp. “Together with the recently announced orders from the Canadian government at our Cryptek division, API continues to build its backlog and is well positioned for improved financial performance in fiscal 2010.”
