The European Central Bank, as usual did not give any further explanation, so all the eyes are set on the press conference Mr. Trichet will hold later at 13:30 GMT for hints about the bank's assessment about quantitative easing measures.
EUR/USD has not been affected by the ECB monetary policy decision, at least immediately, and EUR/USD has remained trading around its previous gains above to 1.4875.
