Yankees Parade (Date, Route Map)

Yankees' Parade to celebrate the team's first World Series victory in nine years will be held on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. EST.

The Yankees' parade route will march down the Canyon of Heroes. It will start on Broadway at Battery Place and continue northbound to Chambers Street, the team's website informed Thursday. Millions are expected to attend.

"Derek (New York Yankees' captain) told me to be ready for the most incredible parade you've ever seen in your life," Mark Teixeira said, according to the Yankees website. "To celebrate with the fans of New York, this is unbelievable. What a great city." 

"We're going to enjoy it and we're going to party," Alex Rodriguez said, the site noted. 

A ceremony at City Hall Plaza will take place after the parade at  1:00 PM where Mayor Bloomberg will present the Yankees with Keys to the City. For tickets giveaway information click here.

My very frigid sister will not let her 11 year old son who absolutely loves the Yankees go to the Parade because of a science test. THis science test will not make a difference in 10 years but saying you attended this will always bring a smile to his face. She is so wrong!!

The YANKEES are the # 1 in USA History.I love the YANKEES and Im very proud of them, I would like to meet in person Alex Rodriguez he is my favorite of all of them and Ill be there fo the YANKEES parade.

Totally agree, my kids are 23 and 25 now and if I had to do over, I would have taken them out of school on many more occasions. He will learn more from going to this parade then any science test. Thank God for the Yankees, Philly put up a good fight, but its tough to beat the best team in the world!!!

For those whose grades are good, then skip school. However, if your spelling, grammar, etc, is as awful as it appears on this site, you may want to do yourself a huge favor and just make sure to make up for the time out of school by reading a few extra chapters of your school books. Go Yankees!!!
