The route of the parade will start at Broadway and Battery Place, will run northbound up the Canyon of Heroes ending at Chambers Street, New York City's Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said Thursday.

"I can't wait," closer Mariano Rivera said, according to the club's website. "It's satisfaction. The city of New York deserves it."

The parade will be followed by a ceremony in City Hall Plaza where Bloomberg will deliver the Key of the city to the team. Though there is very limited space for the ceremony and tickets are required, a large screen will be placed near City Hall Park for the public to watch.

Yesterday, the Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 winning their 27th title. It is the first since the 2000 World Series.
