Microsoft is plugging social networks into Xbox 360 in an effort to bring more games, entertainment and social experiences all from a single device, the company said on Monday.
However, the new features will only be available to Xbox LIVE "Gold" members who have to pay$49.99 per year. The Gold member on Xbox LIVE will get access to Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm and Zune video with instant-on HD. The Last.fm. will be available in the U.S. and U.K while the rest of the features will be accessible worldwide.
The update will be launched on Tuesday, when any Xbox 360 that connects to the LIVE service will automatically patch itself.
