Alyssa Bustamante, 15, charged as adult for murder

Fifteen-year-old Missouri girl will be tried as an adult for murdering her nine-year-old neighbor.

Bustamante is accused of killing Elizabeth Olten by strangling the girl, cutting her throat and stabbing her on October 21.

Bustamante was indicted Wednesday just hours after a judge ruled she should stand trial as an adult. If convicted she could face life imprisonment.

She is being held without bond in Cole County jail.
