Forex: AUD/NZD rises as Aussie gains on Kiwi. Trades at 1.2584

FXstreet.com (Sydney) - The AUD has continued gains on the Kiwi to trade at 1.2584. The pair had earlier opened the local session at 1.2558 before posting an intraday high of 1.2621. The pair has gained 0.2948%.
Both the AUD and NZD fell in line with equity markets which benefited the dollar. The dollar was seen as a safe haven and was preferred in lieu of higher-yielding or risk currencies such as the Aussie and the Kiwi. The NZD eased to AUD 0.7940 from 0.7976 yesterday.
