 NEW YORK, March 5 (Reuters) - New York gold futures rose on
Friday, boosted by an oil rally and as the dollar cut initial
gains following February's U.S. non-farm payrolls report.

 GOLD

 * COMEX April GCJ0 up $6 at $1,139.10 an ounce at 10:19
a.m. EST (1519 GMT).

 * Ranged from $1,127.50 to $1,140.90.

 * Sentiment improved as dollar gives up gains against euro
after jobs report showed a smaller-than-expected loss.

 * Broad commodities gains led by oil, trading at about $82
a barrel, spur gold buying.

 * Precious metals trading sideways on a stabilized dollar
and in-line U.S. jobs data - Miguel Perez-Santalla at Heraeus.

 * Underlying support seen as SPDR Gold Trust posted inflow
for second consecutive day earlier this week. [GOL/SPDR]

 * Comex estimated 10 a.m. volume at 87,961 contracts.

 * Spot gold XAU= at $1,139, compared with $1,131.45 late
in New York in the previous session.

 * London gold afternoon fix XAUFIX= at $1,135.

 SILVER

 * May SIK0 up 32.4 cents, or 1.9 percent, at $17.500 an
ounce, taking the lead from stronger gold.

 * Range $17.135 to $17.515.

 * COMEX estimated 10 a.m. volume at 18,033 contracts.

 * Spot silver XAG= at $17.43 an ounce, compared with the
previous session's $17.10 late quote in New York.

 * London silver XAGFIX= fix at $17.25 an ounce.

 PLATINUM

 * April PLJ0 up 90 cents at $1,584.50 an ounce on
industrial metal gains led by copper.

 * Spot platinum XPT= at $1,580.50 an ounce.

 PALLADIUM

 * June palladium PAM0 up $12.25, or 2.6 percent, at
$475.45 an ounce on investment demand and better fundamentals
due to optimism in U.S. auto sales.

 * Spot palladium XPD= at $471 an ounce.
