Canada Retail Sales rise above expectations

The Canadian economy released its Retail Sales Report for the month of January showing a bigger than expected rise, reaching 0.7% on the monthly scale, compared with the previous revised estimate of 0.5%, while market expectations was set at 0.6%, while on the yearly scale, the index rose by 1.8% compared with the previous revised 0.7% and the expected 0.5%.
