Swiss trade surplus narrows on higher imports

Swiss trade balance report showed that the surplus narrowed to 2.07 billion francs in December from the revised 2.95 billion francs, which was 3.00 billion francs initially, compared with median estimates of 2.50 billion francs surplus.

Exports advanced 6.1%, where the prior 6.8% drop was revised to -4.8%. On the other hand, imports rose 7.6% compared to the previous -7.7% which was revised to -8.2%.
