Anne Hathaway has admitted that she would like to play Kate Middleton someday on big screen. And there is a chance that versatile star could double as sister Pippa Middleton as well.

During the premiere of her new movie "One Day," Hathaway was asked whether she would like play Catherine in a movie, Anne told BANG Showbiz: "I haven't really thought about it before but yes, why not. She's great. It's such a fairy tale."

Anne previously has spoken of her respect and admiration for Middleton.

Watching the wedding, she told told BANG, "the moment for me was when Kate let go of her father's hand and she walked the last few feet to William. I was hanging out with my friend Chris, in London, and I didn't mean to say it out loud, but I just went, 'Oh, you're a brave girl.'"

"I looked at him, and all of a sudden, I'm like, 'Marriage is such a brave thing'. I was texting with my mom the whole time, and she says, 'Gee, it's such a fairy tale,' and I thought that marrying your best friend is really the new fairy tale, even if he happens to be a prince. I just thought, 'That's it. You marry your best friend. That's the new fairy tale'."

Hathaway appeared in television series "Get Real" in 1999. She then played Mia Thermopolis in "The Princess Diaries" in 2001 after three years she reprised that role for "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement", and starred in family films.
