Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” is an early winner for this year’s newest category, Best Video With a Message. She defeated Eminem with Rihanna for "Love the Way You Lie"; Katy Perry for "Firework"; "F****** Perfect"; Rise Against for "Make it Stop (September's Children)"; and Taylor Swift for "Mean."
"I'm really proud of the 'Born This Way' video, and for it to be nominated is an absolute honor," Gaga was quoted as saying by MTV News.
Other early big winners include Beyonce for Best Choreography and Adele, who take home three big professional awards .

Beyonce has been nominated for the International Female Solo category in BRITS Award 2012.
Adele is one of 28th MTV Video Music Awards big winners.
Adele won big, taking home three professional awards at the 28th MTV Video Music Awards. According to MTV News, Adele beats out Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Kanye West to win Best Art Direction for "Rolling in the Deep."
She also bagged the took Editing award for 'Ye and 30 Seconds to Mars and the Cinematography award, beating Beyoncé and Eminem.
Soul singer Adele received her nomination for album 21, which has topped the charts for 17 weeks and has been number 1 three times.
