Contestants were filmed rehearsing on stage for the Miss Universe competition to be held on Sept. 12.

The contest will be held at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where contestants from 89 countries are vying for the coveted title.

The contestants will be judged on the basis of three rounds – swimsuit, evening gown and the interview, following which Miss Universe 2011 and second and first runner-up will be chosen.

The winner will be crowned by Mexico's Ximena Navarrete, Miss Universe 2010.

The 2011 Miss Universe contestants also took part in the Presentation Shows in evening gown and swim suits on Thursday.
