Gems and personal jewelries from Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry collection worth $150 million and many of her ball gowns were unveiled at Christie’s auction house in central London on Friday.

The exhibit is the second of a world tour of the items from the late British-American actress's estate due to be auctioned in New York in December.

The first two-day display of Elizabeth Taylor's collection of jewelry, paintings and costumes was held in Moscow's GUM shopping centre on Red Square in mid September.

The collection features some of the unique diamond, emerald and ruby jewelries possessed by the actress, who was known for her passion for fine jewelry, fashion and perfumes.

To name a few, the exhibit showcases the actress' La Pelegrina pearl, The night of the Iguana brooch and the Tiziani kimono worn by Taylor in the 1968 film Boom!.

Elizabeth’s famous quote, You can't cry on a diamond's shoulder, and diamonds won't keep you warm at night, but they're sure fun when the sun shines, states her love for jewelry quite well.

Besides the glittering gems, jewelries and dresses, an Andy Warhol portrait of Elizabeth Taylor also forms part of the collection of the violet-eyes actress.
