Tony Romo, playing with sore ribs and injected with painkillers, helped lead the Dallas Cowboys to victory over the Washington Redskins on Monday night, 18-16, but not before being visibly irritated with a pair of teammates.

Romo dealt with several bad snaps from center Phil Costa, who snapped the ball twice when Romo wasn't ready for them and had two others that were off the mark. The Dallas quarterback was not too happy with Costa's miscues.

In the fourth quarter, with the Cowboys threatening to score their first touchdown of the game at the Washington five-yard line, Romo threw an incompletion on third down and under pressure to inexperienced wide receiver Kevin Ogletree, who would later receive a verbal lashing from Romo for apparently not running the route correctly.

As the two players headed to sidelines, a frustrated Romo was animated as he scolded the young receiver. In the first quarter, Ogletree had a reception but then fumbled the ball, which was recovered by the Redskins.

After being limited in practice from the rib injury he suffered against the 49ers, Romo may have felt that players like Costa and Ogletree needed to be more focused as Dallas tries to make the playoffs after a long drought. The Cowboys also had Bryant, Felix Jones and Jason Witten playing with physical problems on Monday.

Romo completed 22 of 36 passes for 255 yards with no touchdowns and an interception.

There were some bright spots for Romo. In the fourth quarter, Romo somehow completed to Dez Bryant on third down, and needing 21 yards, in a crucial play that set up the winning field goal.

This was a great win for us, said Romo after the game. We had a million mistakes tonight. We have a lot of young guys, but they were out there for a reason, so we depend on them. We'll get it right. We're lucky to come out of here with a win with as many mistakes as we made.
