The one hit wonder Stevie B has apparently been skipping out on child support. Police in Massachusetts have arrested and charged Steven Bernard Hill while he performed on stage for owing a reported $420,000 in unpaid child support.

Hill, who performs as Stevie B, is known for his one hit song "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)." In the 1990s the song reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

On tour in Springfield, Mass., Hill, of Las Vegas, was arrested on Friday night according to authorities at the MassMutualCenter, where he was performing along with other "throwback" acts including Expose and Lisa Lisa. Police apparently appeared at the MassMutualCenter while Hill was on stage in mid-set.

According to the Springfield Republican, police handcuffed him in front of the MassMutualCenter audience during the concert set.

Hill reportedly owes $420,000 in unpaid child support to a woman living in Agawan, Mass. Springfield police Sgt. John M. Delaney told the newspaper that Hill was surprised by the arrest and worried that he might miss a weekend show scheduled for Providence, Rhode Island.
