The highly anticipated Apple "Let's talk iPhone" event, the first non-WWDC iPhone event to be held by Apple, is hours away.

By all accounts, the iPhone maker is expected to unveil iPhone 5 alongside the introduction of iOS 5 and iCloud Web services product to a hungry consumer crowd.

The "Let's Talk iPhone" tagged message in Apple's invitation has caused media frenzy. All the rumors center around the growing speculation regarding whether Apple will release a next-generation iPhone 5 or a modified version of its current iPhone 4. But Apple will surely clarify what this means in the much-awaited event.

Rumors have been circulating that the iPhone maker will launch an iPhone 4S along with the iPhone 5. The iPhone 4S is rumored to be a tweaked version of the current iPhone 4 and is more budget-friendly.

It is expected that Apple's CEO Tim Cook will officially announce the iPhone 5 during the special media event. This will be the first time that Tim Cook, Apple's new CEO, will take center stage after Steve Jobs' resignation. This is the first time in Apple's history that Jobs misses an iPhone event.

Apple will hold the event at the "Apple Town Hall" at its Cupertino, Calif., headquarters, beginning at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. ET).

iPhone loyalists and users, as well as tech junkies, may want to attend the event to know the new features of the iPhone. Of course not everyone can attend as it is an "invite-only" event.

Apple did not provide an official Web site with live streaming of the event. As usual, when the event concludes, Apple will post a video of the iPhone 5 event on its YouTube channel.

But iPhone 5 fans can still catch the event through live blogs of the attendees. IBTimes will feature its own live blogging on the site for the occasion. A lot of other Web sites such as Engadget, Slashgear and Electronista will also provide live blogs of the Apple’s major event.

Vertex, the online broadcast network, will produce and stream live coverage of the keynote event starting at 12:30 p.m. with an opening segment that will examine the projected discussion points on products and features. This live stream can be accessed at www.watchvertex.com.
