H&M is set to launch a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo capsule collection on Dec. 14.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a New York Times best-seller and one of the most anticipated films of the year.

Now, H&M is launching a clothing line inspired by the cult classic Scandinavian thriller, reports Marie Claire UK.

H&M has teamed up with Trish Summerville, the costume designer for the silver screen adaptation of the book, to create the line.

Summerville said, Salander's look is very real and lived in, with pieces that her character has worn for a long time, like her jackets that act as her armour to shield her from the world. I wanted the collection to have the essence and strength of Salander, with a fashion edge, and I'm pleased with the result!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo inspired collection channels the grungy, urban aesthetic of the movie's anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander, writes Fiona Raisbeck of Marie Claire UK.

The collection will feature 30 nitty gritty pieces that will be available on Dec. 14, which is one week before the debut of the motion picture.

Some of the highlights from the collection are: a leather biker jacket, ripped skinny jeans, and slouchy hoodies. The color palette is raw and edgy, featuring black, gray, off-white, and deep red.

Accessories that will follow the mood of the collection are chunky jewelry, high-tops, and leather biker boots.

The H&M collection will surely create even more buzz around the eagerly-anticipated movie, directed by David Fincher.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will hit theaters on Dec. 26 and will star Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander, Daniel Craig as journalist Mikael Blomkvist, and Christopher Plummer as Henrik Vanger.

Yahoo! Reported on Oct. 20 that Scarlett Johansson was initially considered for the part of Lisbeth Salander but Fincher thought she was far too beautiful and sexy for the role.
