Motorola will begin selling the Droid Razr Nov. 11 and the recasting of the highly successful Razr brand that began in 2004 will be complete. Back then, Razr was a clam shell feature phone, but in 2011, it will live again as a next level smartphone that boasts the thinnest profile in the world. Available on Verizon in the U.S., and powered by the Android system, Motorola is poised to slice up the competition in the run up to the holiday shopping season.

For you math majors and computer science types out there, here are the technological specifications on Droid Razr. It's got a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, one gigabyte of memory, a 1.2GHz CPU, Kevlar reinforced case, eight megapixel camera and runs on the LTE high speed data network, all in a 7.1 mm thick body.

It's a monster of a phone in a very small wrapper. iPhone 4S is 9.3 mm thick, for comparison. Droid Razr costs $300 with a new two-year contract and could be one of the best selling devices of the season. That means some other devices may get cut out of the happy year end bonanza as buyers flock to the big-ticket items like Droid Razr. Will iPhone 4S make the list? What about the Samsung Galaxy S2, another Android-powered phone? Start the slideshow to see what five devices will get carved up by Droid Razr.
